Calendar Girl!!

Oh I had such fun with this using the fabulous digital image from Dr Digi http://www.doctor-digi.com/deirderys-day-off-digital-stamp
I embossed an A4 sheet of green paper with the fab Sheena Douglas Sunglasses embossing folder and went over it all with TH Peacock Feathers distress ink. The difference is quite subtle but you can see from the pic below how it lifts the embossing.
 I did the same on another smaller bit of card, cut out the glasses and went over with treasure gold and a white pen. I printed the image and used a mixture of Dylusions sprays as watercolours along with my old set. Used a Sakura clear glaze pen on the glasses, cocktail glass and jug in the image. I then watercoloured another piece of card and made up the works with a Papermania alphabet stamp set. I went around the edges of the letters with a micron pen, a white chalk pencil and a white sakura pen. I used dies to cut both images and stuck them together on to the background card and added the glasses, the little embellies and a calendar. I used a strip of sequins for the hanger as I never know what to do with them and the colour went ok!
Have fun crafting. Suz xxx

Birdy card for my latest workshop

Hi all

This is the card sample I made for my latest workshop. However I must say it wasn't until the ladies started making it that I realised how complicated I made it. With 3 houses and 3 birds to stamp and cut out, then multiple flowers to punch, ink and layer, not to mention all those tiny gems to stick on! I even had them making a small double bow as the ribbon I'd bought wasn't as wide as that in the sample! Needless to say we did overrun a little, but it was lots of fun. Will enter this into Hel's Sheridan's Sunday Stamper as the theme is birds and there are even two diddly little'uns hiding on the branch!

Valentines Card for the Artistic Inspirations DT

Had a lot of fun with this digital image which I chose as it was perfect for Valentines Day. I used Promarkers, some punched hearts coated with glossy accents and a Quickie glue pen & red and green glitter for both main images. On the top card I die cut white card and used aquamarine treasure gold on them to give that metallic look. On the bottom card I stamped lips with red Versacolour, layered the main image onto red card and die cut the words with my Cricut Mini. Both simple but I think I'll give hubby the top card, and stamp the lips inside!!

A Poem from me to everyone who loves, cares for, or cares about someone who is having a tough time

Lots of crafting in Exeter last week

Hi all
I had a lovely time at an all day workshop with Ali-Craft in Exter last week with lovely Heidi and Barbara running workshops both on that day and the following days at the Craft4Crafters show also in Exeter. I didn't finish a single project at the workshop as so much was packed into the day, but once I got home I did finish most of them - though a few still to do hopefully today!
 Here are pics;
1st Pic is Ali & Barbara (halo's out of shot!) middle also with Heidi and the pic of the tractor was just because it was huge and then got stuck trying to pass a yummy Mummy as it was school time, traffic congestion Devon style! I loved making the beautiful red and black box card with Heidi and the pastel Canvas with Barbara was very pretty though I still want to add a sentiment!

 Below is a pic of the huge Dart Farm & garden centre, part of a big complex fairly near the workshop venue, but luckily a kind crafter had a sister with a car to drop me there! I waited for my brother-in-law to pick me up while I had a cuppa as he only works 10 mins down the road (very handy).The other two pics of the canvas and folding card were things made at the show. All good messy fun.
