Here's a bright and fun card using a gorgeous new stamp Called Circle of Thorns by Andy Skinner. Hopefully you'll see this make an appearance on Create and Craft tv later in June.
Using a versamark ink pad and Andy's Satin Sunset embossing powder, I randomly stamped the image, then heat embossed it.
I blended in some Bright Sunshine Colour cloud.

I made this fun canvas to join in with the Creative Expressions Mixed Media Challenge day 1 with the theme of 'Bright'.
I took an old canvas I no longer liked and covered it with vintage book pages then a coat of mixed media paint.
Then added Intense Pigment Stains in Bluebell, Emerald and Citrus Lime, layering up until I liked the colours.
I then used the same products to Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-6572299192392345042020-05-01T09:00:00.000+01:002020-05-01T09:00:06.386+01:00Sending Hugs

Today's project is soooo simple. Anyone who knows me will know that I LOVE taking things destined to be thrown away and making something useful out of them. So good bye ridiculously oversized brandy glasses and hello plant bowls!!!
Hubby also knows me so well. He was in a bar at a golf club and they were chucking these out! He asked if he could have them and brought them home to me and Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-22482070898723364712020-02-14T06:00:00.000+00:002020-02-14T06:00:01.189+00:00Valentines Card - look how bright the stars shine with my love for you.
A valetines card for hubby. Using a beautiful stamp by Tracy Easson.
I wanted a romantic evening for this scene.
Distress inks, oxide and brusho for the galactic background
Stamped out the image lining up the card in my stamp platform as I knew I'd be stamping again after a bit of work. DecoArt paints to fill in the moon, white first, then a bit of pearl shimmer. Here's my first project using Andy's February 2020 releases! So much fun.
First up was the rice paper. I watered down a little of the Quick Grab Glue and it stuck down beautifully with no crinkles (glue applied to canvas and on the back of the paper) stick down and brush from the centre out to release air bubbles.
Then my first time using the new structure paste - gorgeous Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-41162658543942813572020-02-07T09:00:00.000+00:002020-02-07T09:45:01.177+00:00Stamp and Stitch! Another fantastic set of crafty goodies has just been released by Andy Skinner in partnership with Creative Expressions. I've been lucky enough to have a play. Here's what I did with them...
A plain old piece of cardboard. A coat gorgeous Strata Paste along the bottom, a layer of paint and smudges of resist paste on top...
Mixing lots of the paints, I used Andy's heart stamp to make Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-13308242731047031932019-10-30T09:25:00.000+00:002019-10-30T09:25:21.063+00:00Industrial Altered Dolls Head for my Andy Skinner DT project.
Hi all
Yep, a totally weird one from me today for my Andy Skinner DT project this month.
I've had this tatty, bald dolls head for years.
Time to use it or get rid of it. And what better products than Andy's Lava Paste and his new
Creative Expressions paints to give it a revamp. Here's how it turned out.
Here's how I made it....
I took the dolls head, painted it Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-11532904698039324532019-10-11T09:00:00.000+01:002019-10-11T09:38:02.459+01:00Happy Halloween Skull Frame

Todays blog is a vintage tag inspired by Andy Skinners bicycle stamp .
I covered a tag with music paper and a torn vintage book page from a very old (about 80 years) falling apart accounting book that belonged to my lovely Betty
who passed away a couple of months ago.
Using a dye ink pad (antique linen) I swooshed across the tag.
Then added some almost invisible Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2720754877727237947.post-67416001850450832912019-08-26T07:00:00.000+01:002019-08-26T07:00:09.211+01:00Festival Bag Decoration featuring new products by Andy SkinnerHi All
So excited we can finally share some of the fab new products by Andy Skinner and Creative Expressions!
I was desperate to use the Candy Skull Stamp and lush embossing powders.
And I have the prefect little back pack for the project I made.
I inked up paper first, then stamped using Archival Ink.
Then to add vibrance, I dotted on Pyrole Red, then Primary Yellow Crafty Humphreyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12586941284363391863noreply@blogger.com0
