Abstract Art Passport Book for the Craft Stamper DT

Hi all. Here's my project for this month Craft Stamper 'Make It Take It'
monthly challenge for June, as usual there are some fab stamps to be won!

I really enjoyed using my Eileen Hull Passport Book Die! I'd been desperate to get hold of it.
As luck would have it I was having a chat with Susan from Country View Crafts at
the Ministry of Mixology Art Retreat in April, she said they had them in stock
and would be loading them on the site that night!!!
So at Midnight, after a marathon day and teaching a Make and Take in the evening ,
I was ordering this in bed on my phone!

Here is a quick run down of how I made this colourful little book.
Using my DecoArt Fluid Acrylic Paints, I painted the cover by blending reds and yellows from the bottom and greens and turquoise from the top then adding golds in the middle. I took the colours from a gorgeous Abstract Art pic on pinterest. you can hopefully see it here in my Pinterest  'Abstract Art Board'.
I painted a die cut  butterfly (Tim Holtz Bigz Texture Fades) using primary yellow.
Stamped an Andy Skinner stamp from his 'Tech Trauma' set, heat embossing with a glittery WOW embossing powder. Then gave it some depth with a Stabilo All pencil. I stamped and embossed a gorgeous sentiment from the PaperArtsy set below, the colours were just left over on the stamp after I had tried different colours - embossed with a holographic clear powder.

And managed to add a bit of bling along the spine by using these fab 'BeaDazzles' on wet glue!
I gave this away as part of a 60th birthday pressy to a cousin who is an art teacher too.

Thanks for looking! Suz xxx
