Hello creative people.
I've not posted for a few days, but have been frantically busy preparing for a charity fundraising event in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital Charity tomorrow, where I'll be running 4 workshops and in between trying to renovate a room which will be my new Craft Room!
As you'd imagine we'd hoped it would be finished by this weekend (rofl) and instead we've had problems capping gas pipes, complications with the electrics and plaster falling off of chimney breasts and holes to fill in flooring where we took away the fire surround & hearth! Here is a pic of it as it stands. I'm still very excited with the progress but I still can't sugar soap the walls & paintwork because there's more messy remedial work to (shame!!).
In then meantime my daughter may have come down with food poisoning or a 24hour bug and I'm just praying whatever the poor girl has got that I don't flipping catch it - especially with all the work I've done for tomorrow- eeeeek!
Wish me luck.
Suz

Oooh how mega exciting, Suz, a new craft room! If you trawl back through my blog you'll see the development of my amazing new ARTHaven - such an adventure! the trouble is I haven't had much time to do anything in there since we settled in our new home, but hopefully the New Year will change all that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on my blog, and I am thrilled that you have found Zentangle, and that you enjoyed my tangles! I haven't done much of that in recent months, either!
Hope you have a lovely time with your family in Devon in the New Year. I used to live in Tavistock, which isn't too far from Okehampton. We recently moved to Torquay which is a big change from our previous place in the depths of the country with Totnes as our nearest town! I've lived in Devon since I was 2 so call myself a native!
Hope you have a lovely Christmas too.
