Simple glass charms

These were really simple: Jewellery wire, small glass beads and charms from the Cousin range  by Docrafts.

  1. Cut 15cms of wire (28 gauge).
  2. Thread a charm half way along the wire.
  3. Add a crystal either side of the charm the wind a loop in the wire using round nosed pliers to keep the crystals in place.
  4. Create a double loop at the very ends of the wire then shape the wire around something cylindrical (like a wine bottle neck!), and your done.
Now put the charm around a glass stem, interlock the two end loops to secure the charm to the glass and push flag against the bottom to create a lovely shape and help you keep an eye on your glass (and it's contents)!

Lost bunnies and glass charms

Spent a while today hunting for our escape artist bunny. Each time we seal off exits in the garden she finds another, but until today we had managed to keep her on a tight reign. We eventually found her next door and it was another half hour getting soaked before we caught her again!

In between I was trying to finish a quick and easy project I'd been asked to do and take photos!

Prepping for the workshops....

So busy today doing all the prep for the workshops, making things for the fairs, people collecting things, catching up on emails & uploading things.
So busy that hubby is cooking dinner - there is always a silver lining!

Culture and craft all in one day!

Lovely day at Polesden Lacey yesterday with my Hubby. Some extreeme cycling (for me) around the hilly tracks. Nearly lost it a few times over the steep, slippery paths which were so stoney in places! Mirror decorating class in the evening, great fun - it was the perfect way of avoiding the footy too; would have hated watching Ireland loose.

What a brilliant week - parties, craft and my first blog!

I've no idea how this blogging thing is done, I'm a complete technophobe, but I'm taking the plunge anyway so here goes......

In a fab start to my birthday/ Diamond Jubilee weekend, I hit the road and headed for an amazing crafting event in Sunny Wimbourne. A packed day of workshops, top tips from the Docraft Team, lovely chats with other Creativity Members, scrummy cakes and lots of crafting. (I made 3 cards and only ate 1 cake!).
